“light's work and ritual was a transformative portal to body autonomy and shaping of my form. it led me into a space where deeply buried patterns could float to the surface to be seen and loved like they always deserved. it's attention and presence let me discuss shape and form and placement through this deeply intimate lens and set such a powerful stage for the tattoos themselves. i've never been able to sit for more than 1-2 hours of tattoos before this, but time slipped away and before we knew it i had 5 new tattoos and felt more like myself than i'd thought possible. light has such a way with spirit and embodiment and creative expression that i felt totally free to explore my exact desires and let them become part of this physical body.”

“I've gotten three tats from you, but the best experience was my first, as it didn't have to be done at a tattoo school! You created such a calm and assuring environment in your home space. Things were cozy, we had music playing, and you'd sing along as you poked me. We spent like an hour making sure all the colors were right beforehand, and that made me feel how much you cared about giving me the perfect art. I'm not a fan of needles and had never experienced a stick and poke before- and I was definitely nervous about how the sensation would feel. Luckily, you were super gentle and checked in every time you had paused and were about to start again. I knew I could take a break at any time, and we did! The yellow ink in that tattoo ended up falling out on a bunch of people, including me, but I know you'll fix it up for free later, it was just some bad luck! But I appreciating you looking out for that and offering to make it right.”

“I just wanted to let you know that you were my first handpoking tattoo artist and made me trust the process so much more. While I know you've moved into more machine based work, the intimacy I felt in first meeting you and trusting you with a piece that meant a lot to me I think only solidified how much I love and appreciate having your work on me forever. Probably the scariest tattoo I've done was my back, I felt like such a baby and vulnerable and being unable to see what was going on. You were so kind in taking breaks, checking in on me, and generally pushing me (gently) to keep going and get everything on me. And with such speed and precision!!
